The Rastas are a very primative egalitarian society living on the Island of New Zealandish. They rely heavily on the enviornment for their subsistence. Hunting, gathering, and fishing are their primary means of food. Their egalitarian society is geared toward the betterment of the community as a whole. Their marriage system of polygyny creates an organized community wich leads to more productivity. The Rastas have great respect for their subsistence. Their belief in animism stems from their great respect for the animals and land they live off of. So much so that they have two festivals a year to give respect to their food source. Lastly the Rastas decisions are made by a council of elders who lead influential lives in the community. They make important decisions with the rest of the community in order to create the best society for everyone.
