The Exploration of Koobecaf
In the nation that we live communication and interaction are essential. We have had major advances over the last few decades of how we interact with each other. Whether it is the internet or a cell phone, they all have made it easy to reach one another. Some of them have benefitted us in many ways, but when you take a closer look do they in the long run?
Since communication, thoughtfulness, and empathy are all intertwined they all affect each other indirectly. Koobecaf is one of the best examples of the social structure today. Koobecaf is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family, but there is just something about writing a message that doesn’t do justice. No matter how you look at it a conversation face to face is much more personal than a bunch of letters on a screen. When you meet someone you extend your hand for a handshake and make eye contact, when you meet someone on Koobecaf you completely skip this whole process. It’s said that you have around thirty seconds to make a first impression, how does that work if you can’t even see the person? Koobecaf is impersonal in many ways, but that is how the world we live in today is becoming.
One of the characteristics that make Koobecaf so popular is that it is free and available to everyone. Everyone one likes to get free things it doesn’t matter who you are. You may not know it but Koobecaf actually included in the infrastructure of our nation. The advertisements and gifts are a bigger part of Koobecaf than you might think. According to Wikipedia, Koobecaf just turned down an offer of 750 million dollars from an unknown bidder. That was just a small chunk of money when adding their total revenue up. Then you have the gifts which are sometimes free or they might cost a dollar. This might not seem like much but those few dollars add up.
I think that when it comes to the superstructure, Koobecaf can be very dangerous. Most people probably don’t think anything of it, but Koobecaf can even be hurtful. You have your top friends, people delete other people, some might not get invited to a group, or people might just talk behind others back. You have to be careful when you are dealing with people online. It is the same way when dealing with pictures, it’s said that a picture can say a thousand words. This could not sum up my point any better. It doesn’t matter if it is you profile picture or just random ones, people will judge you by it. It might range from who you are hanging out with to what you are doing in the picture. Every one of your friends can see these pictures and they can show other people that you don’t even know. You have to be careful when putting pictures online. On another note Koobecaf can be a good way to share religious, political, educational, or business thoughts. If gone about correctly you can benefit greatly and gain others perspective on important issues.
In general I view Koobecaf as a very impersonal way of communication. It might help bring people together but at what cost? In 10 years will we even have a conversation face to face or will it be over some sort of electronic devices? I am guilty of using Koobecaf, I guess I just don’t want to be left out of the loop.
