Nearly five years into its existence, Koobecaf is used by nearly 10 million people in the United States alone. Koobecaf is ever-changing, interconnecting, and highly addictive. It is technological, social, and even controversial. Koobecaf is a cyberspace social network. Koobecaf has exploded onto the scene within a span of less than five years and has sent major social rifts throughout American culture. Almost any young person in America between the ages of 14-30 is a Koobecaf user. Those who aren’t are almost seen as outsiders at this juncture.
How could such a seemingly pedestrian, computer-based social network grow to be so popular that it’s woven itself into the culture’s very fabric of communication? Well, there are several explainable phenomena that serve as evidence. Koobecaf feeds America’s dire need to see and be seen. Never before has there been such a widespread opportunity for individuals in America to gain notoriety, popularity, or infamy. All one needs is access to the internet and an affiliation with a school or university. Never has the line between the common man and the celebrity been so blurred, and Koobecaf is a predominant contributor in that societal metamorphosis.
Like any other culture, America’s society is an environment composed of a superstructure, social structure, and an infrastructure. Within these structural compartments of American culture, lie the societal characteristics that give the country its very identity. The superstructure includes America’s overall worldview and its perception of itself, its society, and the rest of the world surrounding it. The social structure includes the organization and patterned social arrangements of individuals in American society. Lastly, the infrastructure includes the economic foundation and mode of subsistence for the country. Koobecaf has, in essence, evolved and adapted to become a significant part of the American environment via the attention seeking individual.
Through the media, be it print, radio, television, or internet, the American individual has grown increasingly attentive to all that goes on. This is especially true concerning famous people, or celebrities. There has long been a fixation with professional athletes, actors, and models in America. Koobecaf has thrived upon this vice of American culture and has provided an open-ended invitation for a major portion of the population to be seen in a way they’ve never been seen before. The need to see and be seen is an increasing desire of most people in America. More than ever before, Koobecaf feeds that need.

Along with the emergence of cell phones and internet communication like email and instant messaging, Koobecaf ties it all together.
