Koobecaf by Mark ScherschligtThis is a featured page

Koobecaf was created originally as a way for Harvard students to communicate and keep in touch. A few years and 100 million people later, Koobecaf has become a culture of its own. Although Koobecaf is mainly a United States phenomenon, the rest of the world is starting to catch on and join the Koobecaf culture. Just like any other culture, Koobecaf has a complex infrastructure, social structure, and superstructure. By looking at each part of this model of culture it is easy to see why Koobecaf has been so successful.
One part of the infrastructure that Koobecaf uses is demographics. In the early years of Koobecaf, the members of this culture were only American students. As time went on, however, Koobecaf became more diverse and now has members of all ages from all over the world. Koobecaf has become a tool for people of similar and different demographics to communicate and connect from the comfort of their home. The fact that people are able to be involved in Koobecaf from their personal homes shows another part of Koobecaf’s infrastructure, and that is technology. By using modern technology, people are able to use Koobecaf at anytime, anywhere. People can even Koobecaf on their cell phones. Also Koobecaf has its own economic system. Koobecaf is full of advertising and other economic opportunities. There is a marketplace on Koobecaf where people can buy or sell goods without actually speaking to a person or leaving their house.
The social structure of Koobecaf is also very unique. Koobecaf has eliminated the need for face to face contact in a person’s social life. Parties can be organized, organizations can be formed, and personal relationships can be started or ended all without ever actually talking to another person. Many people use Koobecaf as a window to see into other people’s lives. Most members of Koobecaf post pictures of their social lives on Koobecaf. This gives everybody else on Koobecaf an opportunity to look at these pictures and make judgments about the people in the pictures. Koobecaf also, for the most part, lacks personal privacy. In the case of most members of Koobecaf, anybody can see the relationship status of any other person. There are some people on Koobecaf who are less open and do not reveal all personal information, but a majority of people on Koobecaf do not care for personal privacy.
In addition to infrastructure and social structure, Koobecaf also has a distinctive superstructure. Included in this superstructure are the personal ideas, concepts, and values of its members. In Koobecaf there is a wide variety of ideas, concepts, and values, all depending on the individual person. Two concepts that are very evident on Koobecaf are individuality and personal freedom. Many people on Koobecaf post personal information about themselves because they want to be an individual who is different from everybody else. Furthermore, having the freedom to be able to express one’s ideas, concepts, and values is an important part of Koobecaf. Without freedom and individuality, Koobecaf would not be able to be what it is today.
It is a combination of a unique infrastructure, social structure, and superstructure that has made Koobecaf into the culture that it is today. Koobecaf is a relatively young culture that is picking up popularity at a rapid pace. The freedom that Koobecaf gives its members is one of a kind, and that is the main reason that it will be around for a long period of time.
