Koobecaf by David Beckley
A nacirema male, 25 years old, sits down in front of a retupmoc a type of ygolonhcet. The male waves his hands over a series of symbols. The symbols appear on the neercs of the retupmoc. The neercs provides visual images for the male to read. The retupmoc is like a brain, storing, gathering, and using information. Both of these things are merely a smaller part of a larger infrastructure of the nacirema culture. The nacirema are responsible for producing one of the larges infrastructures for long distance communication and utilizing this krowten of information on their planet. It is similar to astral projection. Sending the mind to another location and visiting distant places while the physical body stays in one place.
The male uses this krowten, also known as the tenretni to then astral project through the retupmoc. The tenretin was a project developed by the yratilim of the nacirema. The yratilim is an aggressive group that is responsible for much of the ygolonhcet of the nacirema, mostly snopaew, which are primarily used to end life or establish death. It is interesting to see how the invention of such a group could be used to make possible koobecaf.
Koobecaf, one such place that attracts many astral pilgrims within the tenretni. It is a place that attracts much attention within the culture. It has much value in the exchange system of the nacirema that makes possible trading and cimonoce. To describe the importance brought into the nacerima culture with koobecaf by the experience of astral projection would require much more than 600 words. However, this ethnography is merely an introduction. What is so important about this experience?
This is a basic summary of how a typical koobecaf projection progresses. Some of these terms may seem odd and unusual but it takes time to understand the infrastructure. The male proceeds to astral project his conscious being into a space of pure energy through a series of hand movements as described in the first paragraph. He say's he needs to work out some details on his eliforp, but first he needs to gain access or nigol to his tnuocca. Once identified at the egapemoh, a type of threshold or gate, by name and drowssap, a secret, he is granted access to his tnuocca. He needs this eliforp so that others may contact him or share insights with him in this space. His eliforp also allows him to play games. As well as, speak to many people at one time. What makes this all possible?
Koobecaf takes the symbols, segami and provides this to other people as they too nigol to their tnuocca. They view this information from their neercs and in turn react in a similar manner. One such way might be through the eliforp's llaw. In order to do this a dneirf is necessary. This dneirf is the eliforp of someone, other than yourself, that you have given permission to see your eliforp within koobecaf. A eliforp llaw is a space in koobecaf that allows anyone with a dneirf to suspend symbols or tsop. With these symbols, messages can be sent to those who touch them astrally, using a esuom or rosruc on the retupmoc, to be projected to another space simultaneously. A esuom is named after a small mammal based on its form but not it's function. Very complex but it allows the nacirema to communicate without much effort.
This is important because communication exists outside of nacirema culture but the nacirema have dedicated much of their resources to it as many other cultures have too. The social aspects of koobecaf allows nacirema to communicate remotely. The fecundity and stability of the message can be determined by the frequency of visit and mode of access. There are many types of ygolonhcet that allow for astral projection and communication throught the tenretni. llec senohp and spotpal allow more portable astral projection but may limit in other ways. Certain messages may not be able to be seen through a llec senohp for instance. Koobecaf can be accessed by most of them. As I said, it is something fairly new in nacirema culture yet it integrates with new ygolonhcet in ways that increase the abilities of an astral projection. koobecaf allows not only for trancendental communication through the transfer of symbols, it also serves as a form of entertainment for the nacirema.
Drow egnellahc, a game noitacilppa in koobecaf, presents the player with a set of letters. Against a timer the player must decipher the symbols and form words in order to gain a score. Sunob dnuors can be reached by creating the longest words with all the symbols. In the Sunob dnuors the name of a friend is given in a separate set of symbols. The friends name must be decoded from the set, while timed against a shorter clock. If the name is found and presented correctly in the time allotted, then the player is then presented with a new set of symbols to decipher. They then repeat this process until the time runs out. Once that happens, the player is given a score and a diagnosis of skill ranging from tnafni, emim, & timreh to wohsemag tsoh, rehcaet, & grobyc.
The nacirema abiltiy to communicate efficiently has increased dramatically through the invention of koobecaf, only made possible through the retupmoc & tenretni. It may not serve as the main form for the entire population. However, it provides a different mode of communication. A mode that is readily accessible given the appropriate infrastructure and social structure. To be successful it required the support of a large population. The nacerima are that population.
