As a new anthropologist, I’ve had my first experience in fieldwork. After my observation of the Koobecaf culture, I’ve come to realize many things about the Koobecafians. They are rather involved in each other’s lives. Many don’t really realize that the things that go on in their lives are a large billboard for others entertainment and personal gratification. The level of personal information that is released is decided upon by the Koobecafian. The things that are normally posted on ones eliforp are status and relationship information, birthdays, religious views, and networks. The eliforp is like a home of a particular koobecafian. This is where they show people who they are. They can choose different snoitacilppa such as the Super Poke, Bumper stickers, Moods, Addicted to… Top sdneirf, and various groups. This is their chance and place to show to other Koobecafians their interests and various aspects of their personal and social lives. Sotohp are posted by many Koobecafians to show off their social lives. From participant observation I’ve come across many risky sotohp such as underage gniknird, risky behavior, and maybe just some embarrassing moments. Sutats setadpu are particularly fun I’ve learned from my experiences. This is a place in the Koobecaf world where one gets a limited amount of space to announce to the rest of their fellow koobecafians what they’re thinking and/or doing. This sutats setadpu is then announced to the koobecaf world of sdneirf.
There is a news feed which is used by the Koobecafians to see what everyone around them is doing. It is the center of all pissog. Many koobecafians use it as a resource to find out what is going on between one dneirf and another dneirf. As a Koobecafian you can see who is now sdneirf with who, who super poked who and who tagged who in sotohp. You can also view full conversations between two of your own sdneirf. You can be invited by sdneirf or you can invite them yourself to join groups, snoitacilppa, or even local events that you might be a part of or hosting. Koobecaf is a culture familiar to many people of the Nacirema. It is known as a social network used as a means of communication. Many people take full advantage of this culture and use it to shape who they are, or how they want to be viewed. The Koobecaf culture is a means of self expression, standing for what you believe in, what you feel is right. The Koobecaf are usually very empathetic within themselves. They are very thoughtful, sending llaw stsop for birthdays and bumper stickers to nudge a smile from a fellow Koobecafian. Everyday more and more of the Nacirema are being drawn into this Koobecafian lifestyle. Hours are spent browsing seliforp learning things about people that you can barely call an acquaintance. Using the barrel model of culture, I observed that the koobecafian people view the superstructural aspect being their privacy. They choose how much they want to disclose about themselves regarding their ideas. The social structure would be groups, joining the 1,000,000 against the new Koobecaf layout gives a connected kinship between people who have the same ideas. After learning so much about the Koobecafians, I to, consider myself as a Koobecafian.
