Koobecaf in the Nacirema

The Koobecaf use communication through empathy through thoughtfulness in their society in order to fully understand the Nacirema. First, you must understand that the aspects of the society that help you understand this society is Environment, Infrastructure, Structure, and Superstructure.
First, the Environment of the Koobecaf is completely electronic and totally virtual. All of this society is virtual and in no way involves personal presence. Although there is personal communication in the aspect that you can talk to the person directly but it is not face-to-face. This environment is very easy to make friends in because some times you can add a friend without even knowing the person and then get to know them through their home page.
Next, the infrastructure is all about how the society works and uses housing for these people. The homes of these Koobecaf are all about what the person has done in the past and some times what they plan on doing in the future. This how they keep the updates on all of their friends. They can go to their friend’s home pages and see what their friends have been up too without talking to them. This is like stalking in our society that is considered ok to do in their culture. Also you can post pictures on your profile to entice your friend to take a look at what you have been doing. Another way to get your friends to take a look at your profile is by changing your status update saying, This person is…. (Doing something new today).
Also, there is loosely based structure in this society meaning the power and leadership of the Koobecaf is loosely based. There are no real authority figures in this Koobecaf society. The only real authority is taken in to their own hands of the members of the society if they feel that a member of the society is being too repulsive and aggressive with the material they are putting on their home pages. The relation in the society again allows their friends to see who they are in a relationship with. The language of the Koobecaf is the same modern day slang that we have in our society.
The superstructure of the Koobecaf is all about the beliefs of the society. The main belief of the society is to become more popular in the society that others by having more friends and posting more things than the next person. Another belief is that they can communicate with people that don’t have another means of communication other than Koobecaf.
All and all, this society of Koobecaf among the Nacirema is best understood when broken down into environment, infrastructure, structure, and superstructure. Although we may not understand this particular group of people, they are not so different then us.
