This is an example to show you what your home page should look like (created by the integrator). For a student-created example (much prettier than this) see
The Kocoum from Fall 2008. For an example of how other pages should look, click on Subsistence & Exchange below.

First, write a short paragraph introducing us to your culture. This should include a statement that says something like: "We have drawn inspiration from the following resources in attempting to create our culture:" and then list links to resources to information about cultures in the real world that have helped you create your culture.
Second, you should download the map to the right and alter it to show where you are in the world (by placing a star and your culture name in the proper location, for example). (to download the map, right-click and select "save as." Once it is on your computer, you can edit it using Draw, Photoshop, Gimp or whatever picture editing program you might have).
As we go through the semester, list the pages that have been created and make links to them. By the end of the semester it should look something like this:
Environment: brief summary of environment (2-10 words)
Language: brief summary (2-10 words)
Subsistence & Exchange: brief summary (2-10 words)
Family & Household: brief summary (2-10 words)
Kinship & Social Organization: brief summary (2-10 words)
Political Organization: brief summary (2-10 words)
Religion: brief summary (2-10 words)
Art: brief summary (2-10 words)
(with each section-name above being a link to the actual page as illustrated in the Subsistence & Exchange example above).
Spring Semester Only ...Finally, post the RSS feed for your Diigo group at the bottom of the page. To do this, go to your Diigo groups page and look for the orange button at the top of the list. Right click and select "copy link location." Come back to this page and select "Widget" in the EasyEdit Toolbar. Select RSS feed and paste the link into the proper location. Now whenever a group member posts a link to Diigo it will automatically appear here! I have posted an example using the KSU Anthropology group feed: (note: the link to the rss feed is this: http://groups.diigo.com/rss/ksuanthro/bookmark Yours will be the same except your group name will replace "ksuanthro").
GRADING:33%: Front Page should be clear, attractive, and complete with links to all sections.
34% Integration Paragraph(s). Your introduction paragraph should illustrate how your culture is integrated (the relationships between environment, infrastructure, social structure, and superstructure).
33%: Integration throughout the Ethnography. You need to work with the people in your group to ensure the culture makes sense and is adequately integrated. 33% of your grade will be based on the overall quality of integration of all the pieces. (If you feel that something is not well integrated, you may change it or mark it in a notable color with a note as to why you are making note of it.)
