In round one we decided to colonize cultures around us so we would have control of the necessary goods and labor to make fruit loop necklaces. First we colonized the Halibutt because they had cotton that we needed to make fruit loop necklaces. Then we colonized the Detinu, another colony near us, claimed their fruit loops, and planned to use them for labor. Later in round one we shared our technology with Detinu for use of their natural resources. Unfortunately for him, one of the members from Detinu did not appreciate us trying to take the natural resource from their sacred camel. He was killed. We then claimed the very valuable natural resource that was inside the Detinu camel. Five others became refugees in our culture when Detinu faced a natural disaster. The Halibutt harvested their cotton and we used fruit loops from our colonies and our labor force in Detinu to make fruit loop necklaces. To expand even more we colonized Raeb Rewop, but they soon took their land back.
The colonization of cultures surrounding ours is similar to what the English settlers did when they were in America. They had their established culture on the East and Northeast coast and then expanded to the South and West to gain natural resources and labor.
In round two we took over Raeb Rewop and put them to work making necklaces. Shish Kabob was the only free colony in the islands so we colonized them and had them bag fruit loops for us. This colony caused us a lot of trouble because they would often try to gain their land back. It was important to have fruit loop necklaces but our labor force was not very efficient or well-organized.
Round two(b) was somewhat uneventful but we did claim our required natural resources from our colonies. After colonizing Yesreh, which meant we had five colonies at the end of the first day.
In round three Yesreh rebelled and took their land and cocoa puffs from us. We then formed an alliance with Willownya so we would have cocoa puffs available to us.

In round four our concerns of rebellion came true. Shish Kabob, Detinu, and Raeb Rewop all rebelled. Shish Kabob and Raeb Rewop were successful. After reclaiming Yesreh, we still controlled Detinu, Halibutt, and Yesreh. After losing two of our five colonies we became worried. We also realized how inefficient our necklaces had been made and that many of them were incorrect and did not count.
In round five we searched for a peaceful culture that would work for us but not try to revolt and discovered Giraffles who were willing to give us a large amount of well made necklaces if we were able to free them from Willownya. We succeeded in gaining their freedom and gained valuable fruit loop necklaces. We also tried to free any of the island nations we could, and succeeded in freeing Rasta and A’wheemo. For giving them freedom we asked for their natural resources, which we attempted to harvest before the end of the simulation, but we were only successful in harvesting one of these resources.
Losing Shish Kabob and Raeb Rewop, and then freeing Giraffles to gain natural resources is similar to when the French went into Africa trying to gain back some of their status in their competition against the English.
