(the following instructions are for ANTH 200 offered in the Spring semester - not for ANTH 204 in the Fall semester)
Quick note about "tags": If you are unfamiliar with tags, think of them as folders. When you "tag" something you are putting it in a specific folder. The great thing about tags is that you can put a single thing in many "folders" by tagging it with multiple tags.
1. Create a
Diigo account.
2. Join your group’s Diigo group (or create one if it has not yet been created)
3. Install the Diigo toolbar or Diigolet so you are ready to use Diigo
4. Surf the web and find at least 3 resources relating to what you are writing in your draft.
5. Bookmark each one and TAG it with a tag relating to your draft (e.g. “environment” or “language”)
6. Go to Diigo.com
7. Click on “Groups”
8. If you are signed in, you should see your group there. Click on it.
9. You should see a list of your groups bookmarks now, including the bookmarks you just created.
10. You should also see the “Tags” for each of those bookmarks. The tags appear underneath the bookmark.
11. Click on the tag you are using to organize your bookmarks (e.g. “environment” or “language”)
12. You should now see a list of your bookmarks related to your topic.
13. Right-click on the orange feed button at the top of the list (this is the RSS link).
14. Copy the link (by selecting “copy link as” or however your browser does this)
15. Go to the wiki page you are creating for your draft.
16. Click EasyEdit to start editing the document.
17. Go to the bottom of the document and push the Widget button in the EasyEdit toolbar.
18. Select RSS.
19. Paste your RSS link into the appropriate box.
20. Your links should now appear at the bottom of your draft page.
21. The best part. Now as you surf the web, anytime you find a resource related to your project you can just push a button, tag it, and it will automatically appear on your Wiki page!
