Koobecaf (Koobecaf) Assignment In just a few short years Koobecaf has become an important part of not only American culture, but others as well. Koobecaf is extremely widespread and most teenagers nowadays have an account. The website, which spread like wildfire, is used for networking, communication, marketing and many other things. This internet phenomenon started off as a place for college students to communicate with other people who have the same interests and classes that they do. Slowly, as it allowed people to invite others it spread bigger and bigger until almost everyone has one. The Nacirema are fascinated with koobecaf because it allows you to be whoever you want to be, which is very important to the Nacirema since they thrive off of individualism. Koobecaf allows people to connect with classmates, hometown friends, professors and everyone else. Even my boyfriend’s dad now has a koobecaf. While many of my friends find that awkward and creepy, I find it extremely cool because I can get to know him better, isn’t that what Koobecaf was made for? As Koobecaf continued to grow and expand hundreds and hundreds of applications were made, ranging but not limited to Daily Horoscopes, Friends for Sale, and many other seemingly useless applications. Koobecaf lets you talk without having the awkwardness of a phone call or the intimacy of being face to face with a person. Koobecaf allows you to make profiles which let you describe all of your interests in one place. A place where you can have bumper stickers, music you like, photo albums and many other things that make koobecaf all about you. It was created so that you can personalize almost every little thing to be just about you. Koobecaf is so open and amiable that you can make up a completely fake person and give him hobbies and even friends. Of course just like everything, there are some things that make koobecaf bad. On koobecaf, there is no such thing as privacy, just like the Nacirema’s society. On koobecaf within a matter of seconds, your business becomes everyone else’s business. Another is the way koobecaf makes is so easy to stalk people. Almost anyone is a “koobecaf creeper” these days because koobecaf just makes it so darn easy. First off, the barrel model is composed of four different categories, Infrastructure, Social structure, Super Structure and Environment. Koobecaf fits into all these categories in extremely different ways. For example superstructure is made up of things such as individualism, religion, morals and ideas. Koobecaf lets you experience all of these. There are religious groups, groups for people with certain morals and even groups for people who think alike. Koobecaf is great for networking because it lets you connect with other people who think just like you. Another example would be social structure; it can be broken down into things such as nuclear families, politics, and other things such as these. Oftentimes entire families will have a koobecaf so that they can keep in touch even if they don’t live near each other. The same thing goes for political parties, people can congregate and meet new people who share the same political values and such making it a lot easier to communicate with others. Infrastructure is a little more difficult to explain from the Nacirema’s point of view. The Nacirema use infrastructure for things such as marketing, business interactions and even the economy. Koobecaf is set up to remember your hobbies and things such as what age you are and what gender, and then provide ads which correlate to your age and what kind of things you enjoy doing in hopes of making money. Last but not least is the environment in which koobecaf exists, the World Wide Web. The web is a place where someone can pretend to be whoever they want to be, and do whatever they want to do, most of the time without getting caught. Thankfully most people only use koobecaf for good things. Within the last few years the Nacirema have become obsessed with koobecaf because it makes things such as networking, business interactions, and even communication so much easier. People in the Nacirema society have become so caught up in koobecaf that it has become a pastime, a hobby even a way of life. If something exciting happens people are told to “koobecaf it”. Hopefully sometime soon people will get tired of koobecaf and relearn how to express ourselves better than through the internet.
